Title: Can anyone translate? Post by: NSG on April 23, 2006, 09:49:12 AM ...properly as well, not like internet shite translators?
MUY SORPRENDIDO ESTOY POR ESTE MAIL, LA VERDAD QUE NO TENGO RESPUESTA A TU PEDIDO, YA QUE NO ES UN CLUB DE LOS MAS GRANDES QUE COMERCIALIZAN SUS PRODUCTOS POR INTERNET. LO QUE PUDE HACER, A RAIZ DE LA SORPRESA ES PONER TU MAIL EN LA PAGINA, CON EL TITULO "EL MUNDO ES CHICO O DOUGLAS ES GRANDE", FIJATE, ENTRA Y LEELO Y EN ESA PARTE PIDO COLABORACION SI ALGUIEN SABE COMO HACERTE LLEGAR LA CAMISETA. MUCHISIMAS GRACIAS POR ESCRIBIRNOS, ME GUSTARIA QUE NOS MANTENGAMOS COMUNICADOS PARA BRINDARTE TODA LA INFORMACIÓN QUE CREAS NECESARIA Y PARA TENER UN "HINCHA FOGONERO MAS". UN ABRAZO Cheers Title: Re: Can anyone translate? Post by: Jonny2J on April 23, 2006, 09:50:03 AM What language are we talking and i may be able to get my pen pal to have a look?
Title: Re: Can anyone translate? Post by: Sledge on April 23, 2006, 09:53:26 AM I believe that is Spanish.
Title: Re: Can anyone translate? Post by: NSG on April 23, 2006, 09:54:49 AM aye it's spanish.
Testa emailed Doug Haig FC in South America to see if they sold shirts over the internet and we got this reply Title: Re: Can anyone translate? Post by: Tom_NUFC on April 23, 2006, 10:03:46 AM My Spanish is a bit rusty, but bare with me..........
Title: Re: Can anyone translate? Post by: Jonny2J on April 23, 2006, 10:05:19 AM Something about wanting their biscuit back?
Title: Re: Can anyone translate? Post by: Tom_NUFC on April 23, 2006, 10:20:07 AM Right. I've tried to make as much sense of it as I can.
It still sounds odd to me, but I don't know what was written and to whom in the first place. I am very suprised by the nature of this mail. The truth is that I do not have an answer to your order, since it is not a great club who advertise their products via the internet. What I could do is to include your suprising mail on the page with the title 'The World is Small' or 'Douglas is Great', and in part, request a collaboration to send a T-shirt. Many thanks for writing to us. I'd like to keep the information that you created official, and to have a 'big Fireman Fan'. A Hug Title: Re: Can anyone translate? Title: Re: Can anyone translate? Post by: Testa Mora on April 23, 2006, 10:51:29 AM No idea. They are Argentine, not sure about the Argentine spin on spanish. Is it like Brazilian Portuguese?

They are Argentine, not sure about the Argentine spin on spanish. Is it like Brazilian Portuguese? Yeah. South American spanish is slightly different to Castillian Spanish (as spoken in Spain), a few different words, spellings and pronunciations, in much the same way as American English differs to British English. That would expalin why I found some of it tricky, as I learnt Castillian Spanish. Title: Re: Can anyone translate? Meanwhile, they'll use your request for PR purposes to big up the club. Nice one. Title: Re: Can anyone translate?
