I'll be doing the usual.

Telling packis to **** off back home, dubbing mosques with "terrorist scum", chinning a few darkies, before finishing the day off in front of the telly with my Alf Garnett DVDs and a nice chinkies with some french beer I got from the cash and carry.

JOKE!!!!!

Remind me again. Why do we celebrate an ex Roman soldier slaying an animal that never existed, in Lybia?

How could he have slayed something that never existed? And seeing as it never happened, does the location matter?

:winking:

i'll be having the usual pint of stella or something of that ilk, simply because its a weekend as opposed to the anniversary of my favourite dragonslayer doing his thing.

the reason no-one celebrates st georges day as opposed to st patricks day is down to one thing only: drink. the irish have three drinks (stout, irish whiskey, and irish cream, in all their variations) that you might not have all the time, but are nice to have for a change, AND, look at the marketing that guinness in particular have done. it's worked like a dream.

now, as far as i can tell, you can get guinness in almost every bar going. whats the english alternative? carling? i'm not surprised we don't give a shit.

Being the animal rights activist that you all know I am i will be doing my usual protest against all those celebrating the murder of defenceless animals.

I just got in from an pub  , celbrated by drinking  Newcastle Broon.

and singing  Irish  songs ,  well at least they were in English .

Not much this side of the pond on St - Georges.

Carling's actually Canadian.

I'd have thought Newcastle Brown would be the most famous English Beer.

Carling is also the worst form of any alcoholic drink

I d rather drink cheap wine  than  poison meself with Carling .

So many  better beers that cost about the same , assuming youcan't afford Guinness , or toon  or Harp  or  Kilkenny .

Why is  Carling  like making love in a canoe ?

Theyre  both ******ing close to water .

Aye Carling's pretty awful. Even Fosters is better than Carling - and that's saying something.

Sure you weren't being wound up? I don't see how a Saints Day can be changed? As far as I'm concerned today is indeed the day.

Happy St. George's Day one and all. :D

as a pointer, although the carling brewery was set up in ontario canada, the 'carling' we know and, er, hate, ie 4.1% lager, was first made in the united states. ohio to be exact.

worldwide brown ale is probably the most famous british drink, but you can get tetleys in a fair few places, and its consumed a lot more in this country than brown. a pretty grim picture.

Laughing at cub scout marches.

A friend of mine yesterday saw one in the distance and seriously thought it was for midget pride.
