Title: "Sometimes the fans chant my name, but I can't always understand what they say."
Post by: NewcastleRocker on December 26, 2005, 01:22:52 PM
Charles N'Zogbia believes former club Le Havre tricked him into signing a three-year deal prior to his switch to Newcastle United.

The skilful winger joined The Magpies in August 2004, but his debut for the St James' Park outfit was delayed as the French club claimed they had him tied to a long-term contract.

N'Zogbia thought he had only penned a one-year deal with Le Havre, while the club claim he committed himself for a three-year period.

As the 19-year-old could not sign for another French outfit he joined Newcastle and went on to make his debut in September 2004 against Blackburn following intervention from Fifa.

"I was forced to leave Le Havre," explained N'Zogbia. "They didn't offer me a good contract.

"Either I stayed and was blocked, or I could go abroad as I could not sign for another club in France.

"At first, Le Havre offered me a one-year deal. Actually the officials trapped me because I signed for three years.

"Indeed, my mother wanted me to sign. To me it was clear, it (the contract) was for one year.

"Now everything is fine. The Newcastle coach is happy with me so far.

i know someone who used to go out with him and apparantly he always says stuff like 'im knackered' and other geordie things even though he doesnt really know what it means. Sounds like a bit of a sweety, sends a lot of his wages home to his mum. Total ladies man like, think he got in the wrong bunch when it comes to things like that.

We need to sing in french then, seems like a proper good lad like just needs to learn the lingo and he'll be sorted. Just need to keep him looked after and not go down the line of bellamy dyer and co went down last few years.

God i couldn't imagine him to be a ladies man type thing, i couldn't imagine him going to somewhere like that FYEO either! I thought he'd be really timid and barely going out. Been knocking about with Dyer and co like? Is he settled up here? I hope he is, i'd like to see him here for a long long time to come.

the likes of dyer and bramble have a big influence on him  socially. He likes it over here but he says thereare 2 spanish clubs after him and the regulary watch him play. he told my mate that it was best for him not to be in a relationship because thats what the other lads do. Think he is just very easily led.

Sounds fairly happy, I think he's well suited to the premiership and he has only said good things about the club

Christ i wish he spoke no English if that's the case, and let Faye and Boumsong take the lead in influencing him, yeah if he is listening to Bramble and Dyer, he must be easily lead :P I hope the Spanish thing is just big headedness. Be rather gutted if he left anytime soon. He just looks like ay oung bairn, that wouldn't swear, nevermind drink or go to strip clubs lol.

i think the spanish thing is true, i just hope weve got him on a long contract. He is a nice lad and his english is getting much better, he wants to stay here because he knows the fans like him. Hesays once he has learned to speak english, he will start trying to learn geordie!
