Reports: Newcastle Agree Xisco Fee With Deportivo
By Kasper Hakunti On Sun 31 Aug 2008 |

Reports from Spain are saying that Newcastle have agreed a fee with Deportivo over their 22 year old striker Francisco Jiménez Tejada or more familiarly Xisco. Fee is thought to be around 7 million euros plus another 3 million euros in clauses.
No official confirmation has been released yet but Deportivo’s coach Miguel Ãngel Lotina has apparently confirmed after Deportivo’s victorious start to the campaign against Real Madrid that he is aware of the transfer. Deportivo fansite Riazor.org confirms that the player is flying to Newcastle to pass his medical.
Judging by the reactions from a lot of Deportivo fans he is quite highly rated by them. Their fans describe him as a strong striker who is surprisingly quick, technically gifted and one of their biggest talents.
We’ll wait and see what happens but surely it can’t be too bad if it keeps Shola and Smith out of the team.
Tomorrow’s Daily Mail is actually expecting Smith to complete his Everton move sooner than later. Get your party hats out!
Now is the time for the fans to show solidarity to KK. Show the football world that money rule the game but not the spirit.
Boycott the games till the owner start listening to the fans.
How can anyone manage a football side if he cannot choose the players

Get rid of Dennis Wise and Barton. Tyneside do not need more thugs. Viduka, Smith, Cacapa are passed it mentally and physically…
Keegan is obviously unhappy and will be leaving as I write this….Xisco good signing I think
Why do they need a director of football? Keegan could run the whole show single handedly…
I am ashamed by the board and what they represent
What’s the voice up north say?
Yours humbly from the south coast

And it would seem my comments were agreed with by a Mr K. Keegan, with news breaking of his departure just after I wrote that.
Mr Ashley is a con-man who puts himself before Newcastle United and must be removed.
The middle-eastern group actaully wanted us ahead of Man City. So ironically Mr Ashley actually prevented a “wow” signing from taking place than delivering one he promised. Robinho in Newcastle if it wasn’t for Mike AShley. IMAGINE THAT.

This lad does seem highly rated and a good purchase, but I can’t help feeling a bit disapointed with the transfer window as a whole and Mike Ashley’s broken promises.
A couple of points:
1) Milner sold, not replaced. The squad is tiny as it is.
2) Keegan was tempted by Ashley’s promise that “He could sign any player in the world”. Provided they’re cheap, and can be sold on, that seems to be the case.
3) Mr Ashley promised a “Wow” signing within the last fortnight to corporate fans. What happened with that?
4) The “I’m one of the lads” act in the stand may have most fooled but not me.

Good news that Alan Smith is departing and would like to see him followed by Shola and Barton and if not departing at least tell Nzogbia to put a smile on his face and play with sure passing.
Thanks
Victor
