Big Al Helps Me Out - Taylor

Steven Taylor quotes:

"I play against Alan Shearer in training.

"He talks me through the game, helps me out and gets a few kicks and elbows in as well, which is good and what I need if I want to toughen myself up.

"It's a great experience to be playing in The Premiership, testing yourself against the best for 90 minutes each week, and it's been a big thing for me confidence-wise and also in terms of fitness.

"It's been a good step up for me from reserve football and suddenly you are up against bigger, stronger players.

"Graeme Souness has given me the chance to play and says a lot about his faith in me because I was only 18 at the time."
