we was formed in 1875 not 1878 as you seem to think.one of the highlights of last season was beating ( thrashing) newcastle at st james’s park 5-1 fa cup. even though we were a division lower than you lot.

Not a bad article, though Small Heath were actually formed in 1876. All Villa fans will reluctantly admit the ‘noses are local but we don’t accept they are rivals. No way. They are Tranmere to Liverpool or Brentford to Chelsea. Please do the whole of football a huge favour on Monday night and help send them back where they belong.

To those of you making the trip to The Sty on Monday night, brace yourselves! It’s a journey into footballs past. A 1950’s stadium half full of 1850’s people. They look strange, as though medical science, had not actually wiped out rickets or the pox. You’ll think every dodgy family from the local sink estate are on a day out. This lot give chavs, pikies, hoods and ASBO’s a bad name.
