I wish we still had Titus Bramble and a fit Oliver Bernard in Black and White colours. I wish FAT FRED had never fired Sir Bobby Robson. Unfortunately, in the 2007-2008 campaign, our defense has been disastrous and the midfield has been absent without leave. If we cannot even win the ball from Derby, how can we expect to stop ManUre. If we continue to be clueless in midfield, even Horr Jackie would not score. Whether it is Allardyce or Keegan, we have got to pick a team that is ready to play and will not fall apart at the first sign of adversity. The problem is whether that team exists with the current crop of players? Come home Titus...all is forgiven. How bad are things at NUFC in 2008? If we stay up, Keegan will have Ashley's billions to do with as he pleases, (I hope, but this is another conversation for another day) and the current crop will make way for newer, better players. If we get relegated, the "stars" we have now know we'll sell them off on the cheap to premiership teams to get what will be a championship wage bill under control. Put simply, our current squad know they won't be playing for Newcastle next season, which means even though they are all earning tens of thousands of pounds of OUR money a week each, they couldn't give less of a f**k. This is a recipe for relegation, given where we are now. Its also why nights like last Saturday will happen a few more times this season.
